Superior thermal control system
in Petron Sprint 4T motorcycle oils
posted 29 February 2008
Oil industry leader Petron Corporation recently launched an enhanced formulation of its Petron Sprint 4T motorcycle oils, incorporating a specially-designed Thermal Control System (TCS) to meet the requirements of modern four-stroke motorcycles.
The Thermal Control System (TCS) in Petron Sprint 4T has been designed and researched by Petron as an essential component in the science of lubrication. Petron Sprint 4T oils are thermally stable and will not easily thin out even at elevated temperatures. It prevents oil loss due to its ability to resist high levels of oxidation, which also prevents formation of engine deposits that cause oil thickening.
Petron Sprint 4T multi-grade motorcycle engine oils with TCS are available in three-variants:
- Petron Sprint 4T Extra for reliable performance. Designed for daily use, its SAE 20W-40 API SE/JASO MA formulation is dedicated to ensuring stress-free performance for your motorcycle during overdrives.
- Petron Sprint 4T Rider for riding dependability. Its SAE 20W-40 API SF/JASO MA blend delivers dependability, and gives a cool ride every time.
- Petron Sprint 4T Enduro for racing experience. This SAE 20W-50API SJ/JASO MA motor oil offers maximum performance and superior endurance for high-end racing machines.
Petron Sprint 4T motorcycle oils have been formulated to meet international standards, as indicated in the packaging. SAE stands for Society of Automotive Engineers, the organization that designates the viscosity grading system for oil. W represents Winter, meaning that the oil meets viscosity requirements for cold weather. Number 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 indicates the viscosity or weight of oil. Low-numbered oil is thinner than higher (heavier) oil. In addition, the API and JASO markings indicate that Petron Sprint 4T motorcycle oils meet the indicated standards set by the American Petroleum Institute (API) and Japanese Automotive Standards Organization (JASO).
