Petron DieselMax
on Clean Diesel Trek

Petron Corporation, the market leader in the Philippine oil industry, carves out another niche by pioneering a clean air advocacy campaign with the Petron DieselMax Clean Diesel Trek.

Using three Ford Rangers and three Ford Everests, the Petron DieselMax Clean Diesel Trek consists of two legs. Taking off from Petron SLEX for the southern Luzon leg, the trekkers are headed for Naga City, Camarines Sur on Tuesday, October 16, and Lipa City, Batangas on Wednesday, October 17, before returning to Petron C5 Diego Silang in Taguig on Thursday, October 18.

The northern Luzon leg flags off from Petron NLEX, hitting Dagupan City in Pangasinan on Tuesday, October 23, and then heads for Baguio City on Wednesday, October 24. The run ends at Petron NLEX on Thursday, October 25.

Motorists in selected key cities in Luzon will have the opportunity to participate in a special “Clean Air” program spearheaded by a local media partner which will offer free emission tests for diesel-powered vehicles. An information campaign on the importance of clean engines to environment protection is also part of the program.

The Ford Rangers and Ford Everests participating in the Petron DieselMax Clean Diesel Trek will be tested using Bosch Diagnostic Emission Testers to ensure the most accurate and precise readings, in line with stringent Euro 4 emission standards. Results will be verified by official observers from the national auto club, Automobile Association Philippines (AAP), as well as the Car Awards Group, Inc. (CAGI), the motoring press corps.

Introduced with a new formulation late last year, the New Generation Petron DieselMax is fully bio-diesel compliant, with 1% coco-methyl ester (CME). The unique combination of smoke and particulate-reducing agents in Petron DieselMax provides instantaneous reduction in smoke, particulate and hydrocarbon emissions. It improves fuel injection performance by preventing residue build-up.


Petron DieselMax also contains an additive that creates a catalytic reaction to produce more complete fuel burn to promote maximum and smooth acceleration, with an accompanying improvement in fuel consumption. An anti-foam and demulsifier additive protects against corrosion in the fuel system.
